I traveled to the sacred place my heart pulls
Me and wished to record the experience
Hoping mostly to document some miracles
With technology and spare no expense
By paying attention one may detect the slight
Texture of grains turning to pebbles crowning
To stones that shape the church we did sight
Where the stories of miracles are abounding
This will be the gift that needs love and time
Before anyone gets to claim it belongs to them
But where once there was only possession
This treasure is destined to be everyone's gem
Quests can achieve bright clarity if we cherish
And nurture ideas instead of quickly honing
Them to be shaped ready to battle and perish
At the mercy of the false penitents atoning
I call upon the gods to grant me the courage
When my stomach swims, dips, sways and flutters
Tap whatever source for hope we may forage
To keep me on my legs while my heart stutters
Further along to the violent storm and follows
The path that led to the choice of crossing
The capital and onwards to the gallows
Followed by the resting place of the king.
